Hello Dear Readers! Boy, do we have a sweet surprise for you today!
This is our rendition of a popular Asian dessert–honey toast! It is so simple to make and sooooo delicious (pretty too!). Fill the toast with fruits and whip cream and ice cream and all the other wonderful things that turn on your sweet tooth. The next time you end up with leftover bread, and don’t know what to do before it goes stale, go on and try this dessert! You will NOT be disappointed–we promise!!!
What You Need:
- Loaf of White Bread–best if unsliced. We used Hawaiian bread to make it more sweet!
- Butter
- Honey
- Powder Sugar
- Fruit, Ice Cream, Whip Cream
What To Do:
First, slice the whole bread so that it’s about 1 inch thick. Our bread may look kind of weird because we used Hawaiian Sweet Bread, which did not come in the regular loaf shape. We had to slice it to make it look like that shape…so don’t mind us.

Next, carefully, cut a square shape into the bread. However, do NOT cut it all the way through, because you want to leave a thin bottom of bread remaining.
So, basically you will end up with this.
The hard part of this dish is done. Now, preheat the oven to 400 F and butter the inside of the bread.
We were very generous with the butter.
We are now going to stick the bread into the oven for about 5-7 minutes.
After 5 minutes, let the bread cool for a few minutes. Then, drizzle on some honey. We drizzled it everywhere.
We are nearly done! Stuff the toast with your fruits and ice cream!
Add some spark by sprinkling on some powdered sugar and whip cream…and you’re done!!!!
Lovely, isn’t it?
YUMMY!
Enjoy!!!
